Users groups join forces to deliver information, experiences, solutions to Oracle Primavera customers
ATLANTA — (BUSINESS WIRE) — March 17, 2011 — The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) and the Quest International Users Group ( Quest), two of the industry’s most prominent Oracle Applications users groups, announced they have formed an alliance to support the Oracle Primavera Special Interest Group ( OPSIG).
The OPSIG provides a forum for open discussion and education on products, applications and related issues associated with the Oracle Primavera suite of products serving those in project-intensive industries such as engineering and construction, aerospace and defense, utilities, oil and gas, manufacturing and professional services. Oracle Primavera-related product updates, Oracle webinars, support news and general news affecting Primavera users are primarily distributed through this group via the OPSIG website.
Two recorded OPSIG webinars are currently available through the organization’s website ( http://primaverasig.com): The Jan. 21 OPSIG Membership Webinar presentation, which features P6v8 presentation and user experience, and the Working Effectively with Primavera Support webinar.
The OPSIG is scheduled to have a membership meeting at COLLABORATE 11: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Community, which takes place April 10-14, 2011, in Orlando, Fla. The OPSIG meeting is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, from 5 – 5:45 p.m. The Primavera educational track at COLLABORATE 11 includes more than 40 educational sessions, and detailed session abstracts are available on the OPSIG website. A keynote session features Dick Faris, senior vice president – Customers, Primavera Global Business Unit. Also, Oracle Customer Support will be on site during the week to provide one-on-one support sessions to customers.
“The Primavera SIG provides the opportunity for the Primavera community to come together regardless of their industries and product lines,” said Patricia Dues, advisor to the OPSIG board. “We are confident that the Primavera users community will find the OPSIG to be a venue for great educational and networking experiences offered by customers, consultants and Oracle representatives.”
