The event will take place on May 10th, 2011 and will focus on new strategies and examples of enterprise simulation methods in the development of innovative products
TROY, Mich., <January 12th, 2011> – Altair Engineering, Inc., a leading global provider of technology and services empowering client innovation and decision-making, today announced that this biennial UK event - now in its seventh year - has been growing from a HyperWorks user’s conference into one of the major PLM technology events in the UK, with around 300 attendees. The event will attract key speakers from world leading companies who will discuss current business challenges facing UK industry today, share their vision for the future of engineering and demonstrate the development of innovation in their industries.
This year’s 7th UK Technology Conference will again attract high profile speakers and will be packed with high quality keynote and technical presentations. Speakers will reveal how they have used the HyperWorks virtual simulation suite to develop truly innovative products. The sessions will cover solver technologies for accurate analysis structural, optimisation for optimum product performance, multi-body dynamics applications, manufacturing simulation, revolutionary methods for designing with composite materials, and much more.
Tayeb Zeguer of Jaguar & Land Rover said of the event in 2009: “[An] Excellent seminar full of excellent presentations."
The previous Technology Conference in 2009 attracted over 300 delegates from various industry sectors. Keynote presenters included, Airbus, Jaguar Land Rover, Bombardier Transportation, SCC Bloodhound, and technical speakers came from Ford, Airbus, JLR, Thyssenkrupp Tallent, Rolls Royce, ARRK Research & Development, Assystem UK Ltd, and many more. Some delegates choose to return year after year because “it gets better every year," says Andy Cullen of IPECO.
The biennial conference will bring together companies which have benefited significantly by integrating the Altair computer aided engineering (CAE) technology, HyperWorks, into their design processes. They will demonstrate how they are using virtual design and simulation to develop a competitive edge, successfully meeting engineering and business challenges in the current market environment.
But there is more to the day than just a conference: It’s a "very enjoyable event. Lots of opportunity to network," says Julien Chaussee of Airbus UK.” Edgar Fuoss of GKN Aerospace added that there are “a good mix of presenters,” and Bernard Staples, Rolls Royce, said that the sessions were “… useful practically and an inspiration!”
"Our first Technology Conference was held over ten years ago and the event has gone on to earn a reputation for presenting highly innovative and successful simulation applications that demonstrate real business benefits," explains David Mason, Managing Director, Altair Engineering Ltd. "The conference creates an exciting forum for discussion among leading thinkers and practitioners within the UK and Ireland engineering community. With over three hundred attendees at our last conference in 2009, we are confident that this year will be even more successful and provide delegates with great value during the day,” added Mr Mason.
The free to attend event, open to all industries, is renowned as the ‘must attend’ conference within the UK engineering community thanks to its reputation for extremely high quality speakers and highly valuable technical content.
