HOOPS 3D Exchange supports both reading and writing of popular 3D formats in three robust modules:
- HOOPS 3D Exchange Core: At the center of the HOOPS 3D Exchange solution is 3D Exchange Core (3DX Core), which reads and writes PRC and U3D data. PRC is the precise, compressed 3D representation within 3D PDF.
- HOOPS 3D Exchange Import: Allows applications to quickly and accurately import data from popular formats such as CATIA V5, CATIA V4, I-DEAS, IGES, Inventor, JT, NX, Parasolid, Pro/Engineer, SolidEdge and STEP.
- HOOPS 3D Exchange Export: Includes export of popular engineering formats such as IGES, PRC, STEP, U3D and XT for easier workflow integration.

"We're proud of our new R&D team in Lyon," said Tech Soft 3D CEO, Ron Fritz. "Since taking over on July 1, the team has managed to update formats such as Pro/E and CATIA V5 and deliver a powerful suite of SDK translators and PDF publishers that we believe will dramatically increase the flow of 3D data in manufacturing and construction."
"We were relying on Tech Soft 3D to quickly deliver a new set of translators, with updated importers for the latest versions of formats such as CATIA V5," said Scott Collins, Sr. VP of Engineering with ANARK. "The high-speed importers, combined with the ability to publish to the 3D PDF standard make HOOPS 3D Exchange a powerful data solution."
The product will continue to be aggressively updated, enhanced and supported from the existing development center in Lyon, France.
