MecSoft and T-Splines partner to provide free-form modeling and machining solution

Irvine, CA,  and Provo, UT July 12, 2010:    MecSoft Corporation, the developer of RhinoCAM™ computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software, and T-Splines Inc. , creators of precise and flexible 3D surface modeling tools, are partnering to provide a best-in-class surface modeling and machining solution to their customers.

This partnership is born of the realization that both companies have mutual customers who are utilizing products from both companies to design and produce parts of increased complexity and with improved productivity and efficiency.

“Using both T-Splines and RhinoCAM as part of our design and manufacturing process, we are able to go from concept to production much faster and support many design iterations even with tight project deadlines,” stated Rick Smith, Design and Process Engineer at Animax Designs. “The tight integration of both products in Rhino provides a seamless workflow and user experience.”

As part of this partnership, MecSoft and T-Splines are making available new tutorials and case studies to introduce the benefits of their combined technologies to their existing customer bases.  In addition, both companies will be hosting a free webinar on July 21, 2010 to perform a live demonstration of how a mutual customer, Complex Consulting, LLC, quickly goes from digital concept to physical part with T-Splines and RhinoCAM. “MecSoft Corporation’s partnership with T-Splines introduces a new surface modeling technology that in conjunction with Rhino’s traditional NURBS modeling technology provides a complete, effective and affordable set of surface modeling tools to our RhinoCAM customers.” says Anita Anand, Senior Vice President, Sales and Operations at MecSoft.  “We are excited about working with T-Splines and looking forward to a strong partnership with them.”

“Our customers are increasingly leveraging the capabilities of T-Splines to create manufacturable surface models for even the most complex organic shapes,” states Matt Sederberg, CEO at T-Splines. “We are thrilled to be working with the leading CAM vendor for Rhino to offer our customers a seamless workflow from concept to manufacture.”
