Kaiser Permanente’s Inspectors to Use MADCAD.com for Building Codes and Standards

WASHINGTON, DC, April 30, 2010 - MADCAD.com, a subscription-based online resource for building codes and standards serving the AEC industry, today announced that Kaiser Permanente Foundation Health Plan, Inc.’s National Inspection Services selected MADCAD.com for corporate-wide online access to hundreds of codes and standards from ASHRAE, ASME, ICC, NFPA and the California State Codes. The National Inspection Services is charged with providing quality assurance for Kaiser Permanente Foundation Health Plan’s $3 billion annual capital expansion program.

”MADCAD.com was selected after extensive review of available providers, for ease of use and extensive reference material,” said Jim Orick, Area Manager of Kaiser’s National Inspection Services. “This is the next step in our move to digital technology and keeping with Kaiser Hospital Foundation’s green initiative in the reduction of paper documents, and reference material. We also anticipate substantial cost saving with the reduction of time the Inspectors of Record take to research code issues.”
“We are excited to see Kaiser Permanente join the growing number of healthcare providers benefiting from the use of our service,” said Pelin Atasoy, AIA, CEO of MADCAD.com. “Their decision reflects the importance of the efficiencies we provide in codes and standards research, as well as the cost savings MADCAD.com offers with custom subscription packages.”
