Creaform Ranked 7th Fastest Growing Tech Company in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in Canada
The innovative company climbs the rankings of the select list of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada over five years
Lévis, October 1, 2009 –
Creaform, developer and manufacturer of the
Handyscan 3D self-positioning handheld laser scanners and the
HandyPROBE arm-free portable CMM, is extremely proud to announce that it is ranked among the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada, based on the percentage of revenue growth over five years. Creaform’s increase in revenues of 4338 percent from 2004 to 2008 resulted in a 7th ranking overall, 2nd position in the province of Quebec, which is a remarkable improvement from 2008 (22nd position).
“Canadian technology companies have demonstrated some very impressive growth numbers over the past year, amid the challenges of a global recession,” said John Ruffolo, National Leader, Technology, Media & Telecommunications Industry Group, Deloitte. “Creaform is an example of the determination, drive and skill that will serve to position them for further growth and success as the economic recovery takes hold.”
It is with great pride that Martin Lamontagne, CEO, has accepted the price last night. "I receive this award on behalf of all the employees at Creaform, as we owe our growth to their passion and determination. When I learned about this year’s Fast 50 France’s theme, which is "Disruptive technology : built another kind of future", I have to admit that it brought a smile to my face, because this describes precisely Creaform’s core: even our competition talks about us as being disruptive technology developer! This is how we gain market shares year after year, how we develop new applications and new markets and how continue on our growth."
New partnership and a new 3D scanner
The unveiling of Deloitte’s Fast 50 coincides with a very active period at Creaform. Indeed, the company launched on September 15th a brand new, entry-level 3D laser scanner - the latest of the Handyscan 3D line-up. Plus, the company is expanding its product offer through a new distribution partnership with Leica Geosystems: from now on, Creaform will sell and support Leica’s family of long range scanners used for as-built, topographic, detail, and engineering surveys.
