Cadence CTO Ted Vucurevich to Deliver Keynote Speech at the VirtualDACafe

Exclusive Online Tradeshow for Electronics
Design Engineers Set for February 11-13, 2003

CAMPBELL, Calif. – February 10, 2003 – VirtualDACafe 2003, an exclusive online tradeshow for electronics designers, announced that technology visionary Ted Vucurevich will deliver a keynote address at the show. Vucurevich, chief technology officer (CTO) and senior vice president at Cadence Design Systems (NYSE: CDN), will talk about the new demands of IC design. His speech will be available online to all registered VirtualDACafe attendees during the February 11–13, 2003 event.

“I am pleased to be participating in VirtualDACafe 2003 as one of the keynote speakers,” said Vucurevich. “I look forward to sharing with attendees my thoughts on how technological changes and market forces are creating a new and very challenging environment for IC designers. I will also talk about how to address some of these challenges.”

At Cadence, Vucurevich is responsible for driving advanced technology development and for directing Cadence Laboratories. He is a Cadence Executive Fellow and a leader of the Strategic Technology Office (STO) at Cadence.

Previously, Vucurevich served as chief architect at Cadence; he joined the company in 1992 as director of the Analog Physical Design group. Before Cadence, Vucurevich spent 14 years at Analog Devices in product, design, and computer-aided design (CAD) engineering. He was a co-founder of the Linear Signal Processing Division, where he was responsible for the implementation of a complete mixed-signal ASIC CAD environment. Vucurevich received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Arizona.

“Ted’s keynote address will give viewers crucial information about design as the industry moves beyond 90 nanometers,” said David Heller, president and CEO of IBSystems, Inc., the producers of VirtualDACafe 2003. “We are pleased that Ted can join our other speakers and exhibitors in providing—directly to attendees’ desktops—high-level technical content they will not find elsewhere.”

The interactive VirtualDACafe 2003 will be live from Monday, February 11, 2003 through Wednesday, February 13, 2003. After that, it will be available on demand through April 15, 2003. An early-bird registration form and sweepstakes entry may be completed now at www.virtualmcad.com.
