thincSoft Announces Integration With Netezza Spatial(TM)

ORLANDO, Fla.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—September 16, 2008— Netezza User Conference thincSoft, the company that Put Business Intelligence on the MapTM announced today at the Netezza User Conference that it has integrated its thincVIew application with Netezza Spatial, the spatial extension to Netezzas market-leading data warehouse appliance.

The partnership will take advantage of the growing need for location-specific information in todays enterprises. Studies indicate that over 80% of data maintained by corporations has a location component and demand for location-based data is growing across organizations, often from non-traditional users of such data. This growth is driven primarily by the value provided by linking key business intelligence data with location data to create greater organizational insight.

We are excited to work with an industry leader like Netezza, said thincSoft COO Jim Kowalski. The combination of our two products Netezzas data appliance and our Visual Intelligence application will help customers see their location data better and faster and enable improved decision making across customers in many industries including Retail, Financial Services, and Consumer Products.

According to Jon Shepherd, General Manager, Location-Based Solutions, Netezza, We are very pleased to partner with thincSoft. As a BI and visualization expert focused specifically on location intelligence, thincSoft is a great complement to Netezzas high performance analytic capabilities in bringing out the true value of location analytics for our customers.
