Important Scientific Breakthrough to Support North-American Manufacturing Companies

According to Dunin Technologie's president and co-founder, Mr. Serge Dumoulin, this innovation entitled "dynamic scheduling" will offer North American manufacturing companies an extremely efficient planning tool, allowing them to substantially reduce their costs and production delays thus increasing their competitiveness in the face of market globalization.

Mr. Dumoulin specifies that the technology developed automatically schedules the work to be done. Scheduling and routing are readjusted in real time as events influencing production come into play. Unlike classic dynamic scheduling systems that attempt to predict ahead of time the work and tasks to be done, this new approach identifies, based on a set of key factors, the next piece to be produced for a given work cell while optimizing in real time all of the production floor.

Mr. Dumoulin and his team have invested more than two years in research and development in order to achieve, through mathematical models and their own cutting-edge artificial intelligence module, this dynamic scheduling technology innovation. According to him, "the system simulates human logic to respect the business' priorities and rules while optimizing all decision points."

Businesses facing challenges with their planning and the production of their manufacturing units will greatly benefit from this technological breakthrough. Dunin estimates that for a business that offers a range of customized products, this technology will result in a 2% to 5% increase in the annual net profit. Recent commercial tests tend to confirm these estimations.
