Deltek Appoints Mark Wabschall as Chief Financial Officer

HERNDON, Va.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—May 8, 2008— Deltek, Inc. (NASDAQ:PROJ), the leading provider of enterprise applications software for project-focused organizations, today announced that it has appointed Mark Wabschall as the companys new Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Wabschall brings over 30 years of experience to Deltek, most recently as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for webmethods, Inc., a leading provider of business integration and optimization software. In this role, Mr. Wabschall completed a number of acquisitions and coordinated various potential strategic combination transactions.

Prior to his position at webmethods, Inc., Mr. Wabschall held various senior financial and operational executive positions in both the public and private sectors in the U.S. and Europe. He was Vice President of Finance for Innovative Technology Application, a Virginia-based government contractor. Mr. Wabschall was also the Senior Vice President of Operations for the Baan Company, an enterprise application software company based out of The Netherlands. He also held the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for International Drilling Fluids located in London, England and was an audit partner with Arthur Andersen LLP.

Mr. Wabschall will succeed Delteks current Chief Financial Officer, James Reagan, on May 16th after the filing of the companys quarterly report on Form 10-Q. Jim Reagan will stay on at Deltek through the summer to work with Mark in his new role and assure a successful transition.

We are sad to see Jim leave Deltek. He has provided immeasurable leadership, support and guidance throughout his time with the company, especially as he guided us through our IPO at the end of last year and helped successfully transform Deltek into a publicly traded company, said Kevin Parker, President and CEO of Deltek. We are extremely pleased to have attracted an individual with the talent and experience of Mark Wabschall to take over this critical role within Deltek and I am looking forward to his contributions in the coming years.

I am excited to be joining Deltek, said Mark Wabschall. The companys growth and expansion over the past three years has been impressive, and I am looking forward to joining the management team to continue Delteks success.
