The new assignments include:
-- Development of a Web-based application called "My Joliet View," which will be a flexible and easy-to-use application that gives City staff quick access to a wide range of information based on geographical location. It will be developed using ESRI ArcGIS Serve and vb.NET. -- Migration of water and sewer infrastructure data from multiple existing legacy sources. Tasks will include analysis of the City's need for water and sewer data, development of a database design, performance of a pilot project to test the design, and then full data migration."Both of these new assignments will enable the City to take advantage of the foundation that it has laid for an enterprise GIS," said Kendall Jackson, the City's GIS project manager.
PlanGraphics recently completed an enterprisewide GIS planning assignment for the City of Joliet.
