Giga Scale IC's InCyte Chip Estimation Software Captures Attention of Electronic Design Community, More Than 1000 Users Have Downloaded InCyte

CUPERTINO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Apr 29, 2005 -- Giga Scale Integration Corporation (Giga Scale IC®) announced today that more than 1000 electronic designers have registered at ChipEstimate.com for free copies of InCyte™, a chip estimation tool which helps control the cost of ICs early in the design cycle. The site was launched on February 7.

InCyte allows users to estimate IC cost, yield, die size, power and leakage to within five to ten percent accuracy of final silicon, as well as to make architectural and economic comparisons and tradeoffs across various technology nodes, process variants and IP options. InCyte may be upgraded to subscription versions that come bundled with extensive IP databases populated by Giga Scale IC's IP and foundry partners. The tool is effective at reducing total IC cost and minimizing the duration of the design cycle.

"The results of the ChipEstimate.com launch certainly eclipsed our best expectations," said Adam Traidman, president of Giga Scale IC. "Not only does this prove that designers need a standard IC estimation tool, but they also are taking advantage of ChipEstimate.com's InCyte upgrade subscriptions which enable estimation as well as technical and economic tradeoffs utilizing data from specific IP vendors and foundries."

InCyte Availability, Options

A free, time-unlimited version of InCyte is available for download at www.ChipEstimate.com. Upgrades from the free version to a subscription version provide access to IP vendor and foundry specific technology data, as well as additional features that include 45nm and 65nm chip estimations and downstream implementation tool interfaces. These options are described in detail at www.ChipEstimate.com. Upgrades begin at $1,500 per month.
