CAMWorks 2005 with new mill-turn module to be shown at SolidWorks International User Conference and Exposition
Scottsdale, Arizona – January 13, 2005 – TekSoft, an industry leader in developing advanced manufacturing software, announced that it will demonstrate CAMWorks 2005 featuring a new module for mill-turn with Live-C support at SolidWorks World 2005 in Orlando, Florida, January 30 – February 2, 2005. SolidWorks World brings together designers, engineers, managers, and partners to discuss ideas, trends, and the technology shaping the future of mechanical design.
“In addition to mill-turn, Teksoft will be demonstrating the latest productivity enhancements in CAMWorks 2005 for mill, turning, and Wire EDM, and also previewing what's coming next in 4/5 axis simultaneous mill machining,” said Bruce Wiener, CAMWorks product manager.
Introduced in 1997, CAMWorks was the first SolidWorks Certified Gold Product for manufacturing and the first CAM solution to offer knowledge-based, feature recognition and associative machining capabilities within the SolidWorks environment. “Integrating CAMWorks with SolidWorks means engineers can begin applying manufacturing toolpaths and data directly on the design model. This saves time and helps manufacturers meet tight production deadlines,” said Wiener.
The recent acquisition of TekSoft by Geometric Software Solutions (GSSL) ensures that TekSoft will continue to develop, distribute and support CAMWorks to meet the needs of the mold making and machining industries. GSSL, a long-time product development partner with SolidWorks, has had an ongoing business relationship with TekSoft and is TekSoft’s CAMWorks development partner. As part of the acquisition, TekSoft has appointed Michael Coleman as CEO. Coleman, who comes to TekSoft with extensive experience in international sales and distribution management, will be attending SolidWorks World 2005 and will be available to talk with SolidWorks users and resellers.
