MoSys to Present Flexible PHY Capabilities That Optimize Connectivity and Utilization in 100G Cloud Networks at the Linley Tech Data Center Conference 2016

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 04, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

Who:  MoSys (NASDAQ:MOSY), a leader in semiconductor solutions that enable fast, intelligent data access for network and communications systems, is presenting at The Linley Group’s Linley Tech Data Center Conference 2016. The transition from 10G/40G to 25G/100G has driven new optical and electrical standards that will permeate data center and Cloud networks. Flexible PHY technologies are needed to support and bridge between the different rates, distances, and standards, maximizing bandwidth utilization in the network while minimizing system cost. In his presentation, “Gearbox and Retimer PHYs with RS-FEC for Flexibility and Performance,” MoSys VP of marketing, John Monson, will present how the next generation of gearbox and retimer PHY technology supporting multi-link capability and RS-FEC enable compatibility, density, transmission distance and signal integrity.

“Cloud computing is changing the nature of compute, storage, and network resources across every customer category,” said Bob Wheeler, principal analyst with The Linley Group. “By providing insights into these fundamental changes and enabling interaction with technology leaders, our conference provides attendees with the information they need when designing next-generation systems.”

What:This two-day, single-track event is the only one of its kind focused on the processors, components, and interconnects for data center servers and networking. The Linley Group will open the conference with an overview of the market, technologies, equipment-design, and silicon trends for designers of data center equipment.

When:DesignCon 2016 takes place February 9-10.
