Applied Software Acquires Enceptia

Deal Establishes Applied Software as the Leading Construction Technology Systems Integrator in North America

ATLANTA, Oct. 5, 2015 — (PRNewswire) — Applied Software®, a leading systems integrator to the AEC, Construction and Manufacturing industries, announced today the acquisition of Enceptia® (formerly known as DC CADD), a design technology firm that provides innovative solutions to building, fabrication, infrastructure and manufacturing companies. In addition to establishing Applied Software as the leading construction technology systems integrator in North America, the acquisition also forms the largest Autodesk® reseller serving the architectural, engineering and manufacturing design community in the contiguous Southern United States.

"We're combining the talents, relationships and technologies of two of the leading companies in the industry to offer a complete package for the North American construction market, supporting solutions from design to field to hand over," said Richard Burroughs, president of Applied Software. "The acquisition will enable us to better serve our customers throughout North America in many ways, including enhanced services, access to more robust consulting resources and a broad range of products from a single source."

Though the two companies have worked closely together for many years, the acquisition enhances the delivery of key services to their combined clients. Enceptia brings a wealth of capabilities to the Applied Software portfolio, including unprecedented knowledge and technical expertise with regard to fabrication software solutions for the mechanical, electrical and plumbing industries.

"Our partnering over the years led to the obvious conclusion that uniting our people would make for a powerful combination for our customers," said Enceptia President Doug Wietbrock. "It truly is a synergistic merger."

"We're very excited about what this acquisition will mean for our customers and for the industry," added Richard Burroughs. "We're already looking at how we can provide new solutions to enhance and simplify advanced design and fabrication tools, as well as establish greater connectivity between field and back-office enterprise applications."
