Open-Silicon Appoints Margie Evashenk to Its Board of Directors

MILPITAS, CA–(Marketwired – March 16, 2015) - Margie Evashenk, an experienced engineering leader with over 25 years of experience in the networking and storage industry, specializing in ASIC development, joins Open-Silicon’s Board of Directors. She joins a company that has grown from being a leader in transforming netlists into ASICs to creating platform-level solutions from customers’ market requirement documents. Margie will lend her expertise and market knowledge to help position Open-Silicon to benefit from its full-service, specification-to-volume-production offering.

“Domain knowledge of market segments is essential for Open-Silicon’s expansion into early engagement at the specification level for our customers,” said Jonathan Holley, Open-Silicon’s Chairman of the Board. “We welcome the opportunity to leverage Margie’s proven abilities in this area to successfully guide the organization’s success in this expanded offering.”

“For more than 25 years, Margie has provided inspirational and motivational leadership to a large number of organizations, both at mature companies and those in the start-up phase,” said Taher Madraswala, Open-Silicon’s President. “I look forward to working with her to keep Open-Silicon customer focused as we grow our business.”

“I am honored to join Open-Silicon’s board,” said Margie Evashenk. “Open-Silicon’s expanded offerings, including complete chip hardware development, enables customers to focus on high value-add software development tasks and still meet over-all product development budgets and schedules.”

Margie served as a SVP engineering and Chief Development Executive at Emulex from 2006 to 2014. From 2001 to 2006 Margie served as a Co-Founder and Vice President of Engineering of Sierra Logic, which was acquired by Emulex.
