Apperian Customer, Maxim Integrated, Wins 2014 Mobilizer Award for Mobile App Innovation

Mobile Enterprise Magazine Recognizes Best-in-Class Development and Deployment of Enterprise Mobile Apps via Apperian's Platform

BOSTON, Nov. 11, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —   Apperian® Inc., the mobile application management company, today announced that Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. has received a 2014 Mobilizer Award from Mobile Enterprise Magazine. The award is in recognition of Maxim's development and deployment of a custom sales app and several curated sales productivity apps to more than 400 field sales employees. Deployed in a privately branded enterprise store, "App Locker," they are enabled by the Apperian mobile application management platform.

"Our sales employees often rely on their personal tablets and smartphones – not laptops – to display relevant information during customer interactions," said Robert Lacis, Director of Field Enablement at Maxim Integrated. "Developing custom mobile apps is enabling our field to share the most applicable and valuable information with our customers quickly and efficiently. The App Locker, powered by Apperian, allowed us to deploy the mobile apps easily and securely in a BYOD environment. There is a lot of strategy behind the apps we develop. It is essential that we have the infrastructure that ensures the apps are used by all of those who need them."

"Companies that are deploying mobile business apps, such as Maxim, are reaping tremendous benefits in improving productivity and revolutionizing how they engage and support their customers," said Brian Day, President at Apperian. "Working with Robert and the Maxim team gives us the opportunity to advance the deployment and adoption of innovative enterprise apps. Smart phones and tablets are becoming increasingly common-place in enterprises today and savvy business leaders are capitalizing on this reality by empowering their employees with mobile applications that help them be better at their jobs."

As a result of deploying productivity apps, Maxim's sales team has seen greater effectiveness and customer engagement. Previously, it could take four hours to develop tailored sales content for a specific customer. Now, it only takes 15 minutes to develop relevant content, allowing the team to focus on how Maxim can best address customer needs. By deploying the apps via the App Locker, the Maxim team can easily apply app-level security and usage policies that ensure the apps are used by those who need them and without implementing a mobile device management approach in a BYOD environment. The team also has real-time access to app download metrics to understand who is using them and on what devices. This is vital information that informs app iteration decisions and helps salespeople drive secure app adoption.

The Mobilizer Awards are presented annually to end user enterprises from any vertical market that have successfully deployed a mobile solution and can demonstrate the positive changes in business processes. The award winners were judged by the esteemed executives and analysts of the Editorial Advisory Board of Mobile Enterprise.
