PLMIG announces the Geneva Workshop for PLM Benefits

Oxford, England. June 12, 2014

The PLMIG announces the latest Workshop on quantifying the Benefits of PLM. It will be hosted by the PLM Institute at their Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland on 01-03 July.

The PLM Financial Framework initiative has developed a new, neutral Toolset to establish performance metrics that can be measured and reported as PLM projects are implemented, to make PLM progress visible to everyone in the company.

The Toolset includes:-
  • PLM Financial Handbook
  • PLM Financial Handbook [Lite]
  • PLM Governance Standard
  • PLM Validation Toolkit
  • PLM Maturity Manual
  • Company PLM Overview
  • PLM Discussion Document
  • PLM Contact Summary
This Toolset means that the PLM Team can confidently take PLM out into the business, involving managers and VPs from the whole organisation in the process of establishing the Benefits that PLM should achieve. PLM development becomes proactive and collaborative, and the fact that the results will be quantified reinforces the effect.

The whole structured methodology will be reviewed at the upcoming Workshop in Geneva. The Agenda includes sessions on how to reach Board level; how to establish the planning framework; and group discussions on how to overcome barriers in the delegates' own companies.

The workshop is an excellent opportunity to obtain the new tools and learn how to use them to raise the level of current and future PLM up to Advanced level.

The Geneva Workshop takes place in 3 weeks, and Registration is open. More information is available on the PLMIG web site, or via Email Contact.

The PLM Interest Group
The PLM Interest Group is the leading neutral industry group for PLM. It has developed the first ever PLM Governance Standard, together with a new generation of applied PLM material including the PLM Best Practice Library and the Path to PLM. Previously PLMIG workshop series have produced the PLM Benchmarking Handbook; the PLM Maturity Reference Manual; and the PLMuERP Handbook.
