Maxim Integrated and RadioPulse Collaborate to Provide Highly Integrated ZigBee Solutions for the Smart Grid

Maxim's partnership provides a comprehensive solution that saves customers time, board space, and cost.

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 7, 2012 — (PRNewswire) — �Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. (NASDAQ: MXIM) today announced a partnership with RadioPulse to provide ZigBee® communication for smart grid solutions. Together, Maxim and RadioPulse will market and develop ZigBee software, highly integrated systems on chips (SoCs), and "smart" transceivers to augment Maxim's current smart grid solutions and Zeus, its recently announced smart-meter SoC.

The partnership is already providing more highly integrated smart grid solutions. The tight synergy between the RadioPulse wireless ZigBee software and Maxim's smart, secure IC solutions saves time, board space, and implementation costs for customers. The advantages of this partnership are immediately apparent when compared to existing nonintegrated solutions.
