Rapid Machining Adds 12,000 Square Feet, Increases Capacity

Major Growth Results in Increased Space and New Machining Centers

 

Nashua, NH, April 17, 2012:  Rapid Machining, a dedicated rapid prototype machine shop has added 12,000 square feet of space, bringing the total to 25,000 square feet dedicated to prototype CNC machining and turning.  All of Rapid Machining’s Haas milling and turning centers are less than two years old and most less than a year old. During the first quarter of 2012 Rapid Machining has added another 12,000 square feet of machining facility, expanded to three shifts running five days a week, and purchased multiple new milling and turning centers.

 

“Rapid growth required the expansion of space as well as the purchasing of more CNC machining centers to meet demand” said James Jacobs, President of Rapid Machining. “Having a larger shop means more room for many more new CNC machining and turning centers”

 

Rapid Machining is one of the largest dedicated Rapid Prototype Machining companies in the country.  Working in a variety of plastics and metals from Delrin™, HDPE and ABS to brass and various steels including tool steels and stainless steels, Rapid Machining delivers parts complete to customer prints including drilling, tapping and inserting heli-coils as required.  Typical quantities of custom machined prototypes are one to twenty parts shipped in two weeks or less.
