HSMWorks 2012 CAM Solution for SolidWorks on display at Euromold (11/29 – 12/2)

November 28, 2011 – HSMWorks will demonstrate its latest version of its integrated CAM solution for SolidWorks, HSMWorks 2012, at the Euromold Expo in Frankfurt Germany, Nov 29 – Dec 2. This latest release continues to build on the HSMWorks proven tradition of high-speed calculation of high quality and high efficiency toolpaths for 3D and surfacing machining utilizing the HSMWorks native 64-bit and multi-core CAM Kernel.

“Customers who focus on more advanced 3D machining, such as tool and die shops, moldmakers, and patternmakers, are just now beginning to understand just how much of a positive impact multi-core and 64-bit technology can play in the production of the highest quality parts in times never before possible,” commented Anthony Graves, Marketing Director for HSMWorks ApS headquartered in Copenhagen. “Because our very first release of HSMWorks, nearly five years ago, launched with the same high-end technology that others are only now beginning to offer, HSMWorks is in the unique position of setting the standard by which all other CAM systems are measured when it comes to calculating speeds and performance.”

In addition to show the quality customers can achieve with the HSMWorks high-speed roughing and finishing toolpaths, HSMWorks will also demonstrate the revolutionary results customers are able to realize utilizing HSMWorks’ Distributed CAM™ technology.

“When HSMWorks presented on our multi-core and Distributed CAM™ technology at the HP/Intel Workstation Press Event in 2010, Dreamworks Animation called the use of distributed multi-core a transformative technology – like going, not from black and white to color, but from black and white to 3D – revolutionary,” recalled Graves. “Most customers don’t stop to consider that, while changes to CAM models may only take seconds in SolidWorks, recalculating toolpaths can take hours upon hours, without multi-core and Distributed CAM™. Our favorite part of every show or conference is to see people’s faces when they see our Distributed CAM™ in action.”
