Radan at Fabtech to Show Solution for Offline Press-Brake Programming

Visitors to the FABTECH 2011 exhibition in November can see for themselves how Radan plays a vital role in helping manufacturers gain the most from their machine tool investment. A particular feature on display will be Radbend, which is Radan’s solution for offline press brake programming.

A principal brand from the Planit group, Radan is the world’s most powerful sheet metal CAD/CAM software, driving punching, profiling, nesting and bending functions for machines from a wide range of manufacturers. It assists customers to increase their material utilisation and reduce inventory, providing a significant return on investment.

Radan is on booth 756, showcasing enhancements and additional functionality contained in the latest release, Radan 2012 R1. 

The Radbend module provides offline programming for press brakes. Generating accurate bend allowances means Radbend ensures that all bending is totally accurate and repeatable. The software gives manufacturers full, accurate 3D model simulation of the bending process, including advanced features such as automatic bend sequence calculation, automatic tool selection and automatic finger-stop placement, offering simple programming and high productivity. As it programs and verifies bending operations offline it frees up valuable machine time and improves first-off reliability, reducing manufacturing costs. Many customers use it extensively to prove out prototypes. Costly mistakes are also eliminated with automatic detection of collisions both with the tooling and the machine tool itself.
