About the Presenter:
Originally from Park City, Utah, Casey Pratt graduated from the University of Utah in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. During his time at the University of Utah, he was part of the Universities WERP (Wind Energy Research Program) team. Members of WERP focused on the design of lightweight carbon fiber wind turbine blades with unique bend-twist properties used to control blade flutter. Upon graduation, Casey worked in the Composite component manufacturing industry at Composite Solutions in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he gained experienced in the use of Siemens PLM products (NX, Solid Edge, Femap). The PLM products were used in the design of fixtures and tooling as well as in the programming of multiple CNC machining centers.
