Unique Conference Will Speed Integration Of Micro-Nano-Technologies Into Aerospace Systems

WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The CANEUS Organization and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), in partnership with the Centre for Large Space Structures and Systems (CLS3) and NASA, are hosting the upcoming CANEUS 2004 Conference and Workshop, being held 1-5 November 2004 at the Hyatt Regency Monterey in Monterey, California.

CANEUS 2004 is the world's premier international forum devoted to micro- nano-technologies (MNT) development for aerospace applications. This event will provide a venue for participants, including researchers, systems integrators, funding agencies, and aerospace systems buyers from Canada, Europe, the United States, and Asia Pacific regions, to address the efficient development of aerospace MNT "from concepts to systems" and to foster international collaboration aimed at creating MNT-based aerospace products.

As continual progress is made in the manufacture and characterization of micro-nano-scale technologies, MNT is becoming more and more commercially viable to the aerospace industry. Current industry participants in the conference include The Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin Corporation, GE Aircraft Engines, Airbus, BAE Systems Advanced Technology Centre, Hewlett Packard, EADS, Alcatel Space Industries, Goodrich Corporation, and Motorola.
