ALOM Receives 3.0 Certification For Process Performance From Diverse Manufacturing Supply Chain Alliance

FREMONT, Calif., March 13, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —  ALOM has attained Corporate Mentoring Program (CMP) Level 3.0 certification from the Diverse Manufacturing Supply Chain Alliance (DMSCA), verifying that ALOM practices premier standards in supply chain process measurements and controls as recognized by leading corporations. The certification was awarded at the 2014 DMSCA National Education & Training Conference in Seattle Washington, March 4-6, 2014.

"We are extremely proud to achieve the CMP Level 3.0 certification," said Hannah Kain, President & CEO of ALOM, a global leader in supply chain management.  "Our ALOM team has worked diligently towards the process excellence that serves our clients' global needs and reflects the exacting process management and measurement standards developed by DMSCA's corporate leaders."

The CMP is a performance driven supplier development system that measures, aligns, and reengineers the supply chain processes.  Its goal is to foster continuous improvement in a supplier's performance in manufacturing and logistics, which in turn enhances the corporation's supply chain.

As part of this certification process, ALOM has been monitored and measured over a period of four years and submitted benchmarking information.  The company attained CMP 2.0 certification in March of 2013 and CMP 1.0 certification a year before that.  Level 3.0 certification confirms that an organization's supply chain processes are being continuously improved. It is the highest level of recognition granted by DMSCA.  All certification levels must be maintained and are monitored on a monthly basis.

"Hannah Kain exemplifies the type of leader it takes to make an already good organization even better.  As a result, ALOM will continuously improve its performance even as supply chains become more complex," said David Burton, DMSCA President.

DMSCA corporate members include Johnson & Johnson, McCormick & Co. Inc., The Boeing Company and Starbucks Corporation, to name a few.

"Supply chain excellence is a journey, not a destination.  Through strategy, organization, process, technology, and people, ALOM has made that journey their focus," said Peter Bolstorff, President and CEO, SCE Limited and author of Supply Chain Excellence

"Scorecard performance relative to competitors and customer expectations are superior," he added. "The CMP 3.0 certification is an external recognition that the method and result are best-in-class."
