Toshiba Launches Reinforced Insulation Triac-output Photocouplers

Adds 600V NZC and 600V ZC products to the line-up

TOKYO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — April 25, 2013Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO:6502) has launched and added a 600V NZC triac-output photocoupler "TLP265J" and a 600V ZC triac-output photocoupler "TLP266J" to the reinforced insulation triac-output photocouplers lineup. Using a SO6 double-mold package, the new products achieve reinforced insulation at an isolation voltage of 3750Vrms (AC, 1minute). They achieve creepage distance and clearing distance of 5mm (min.) and have obtained approvals of UL, cUL, and VDE. In terms of electrical characteristics, these products support up to 7mA of trigger LED current (max.), which allows control of output at a lower input current. In addition, it uses long life LEDs and support reflow mounting in accordance with JEDEC standards.
