Recognizing the increasing need for secure communication of designs or projects, MathSoft has added advanced file-encryption functionality to keep document contents safe until they arrive in the hands of the intended user. In addition, newly integrated document-protection technology lets users lock all regions of Mathcad designs and calculations, making it possible to share results without revealing proprietary processes. Mathcad 2001i also features new security settings to help protect against embedded scripts that could potentially harm users' computer systems.
Mathcad 2001i adds support for data acquisition from Measurement Computing (formerly ComputerBoards) analog DAQ boards and offers improved integration with National Instruments devices.
MathSoft adds many valuable usability enhancements based on popular request, including new 2-D grid color options, 3-D axis labels, multi-region property settings and current-page printing.

Mathcad 2001i offers enhanced automation interfaces for using Mathcad in embedded applications. New interfaces to the Mathcad application, worksheets, windows and regions provide a broader range of options for customizing Mathcad to perform routine or frequent tasks.
