Creaform Showcases New MetraSCAN Optical 3D Scanning System at EuroMold

Levis, November 30, 2010. EuroMold: Hall 8, Stand I150 — Creaform, one of the world's leading manufacturers of 3D measurement technologies, presents at Euromold and to the entire world its new MetraSCAN optical CMM 3D scanner.

Despite a very recent launch at mid-October, customers such as BRP, a world leader in the design and manufacturing of motorized recreational vehicles and powersports engines,moved fast and already expanded their suite of inspection and quality control instruments with a MetraSCAN unit. 

The portable, arm-free MetraSCAN 3D scanner and the C-Track 780 dual camera sensor are used to take precise measurements in the laboratory and in production. When combined with the HandyPROBE, this comprehensive and efficient measuring solution improves the reliability, speed and versatility of measuring processes. Thanks to a unique design and powerful algorithms, the MetraSCAN 3D scanner delivers a volumetric accuracy that outperforms that of articulated arms of similar size. The MetraSCAN also features TRUaccuracyM technology, which guarantees highly accurate dimensional measurements regardless of the measurement environment (instability, vibrations, thermal variations, etc.) or operator skill level.
