StreetMapper Conference Programme Announced

November 12, 2010 -- 3D Laser Mapping and IGI have announced the programme for the StreetMapper 2010 International User Conference. Co-hosted with the European LiDAR Mapping Forum the StreetMapper Conference will take place on the 02 December 2010 in The Hague, Netherlands.

Aimed at both existing and potential users of mobile mapping systems the StreetMapper Conference will feature a range of presentations including keynotes and technical presentations from 3D Laser Mapping and IGI as well as user papers from around the world. The conference will also provide the perfect opportunity for delegates to meet with laser scanning specialists and network with mobile mapping professionals.

For further information or to express an interest in attending the StreetMapper International User Conference please email to info@3dlasermapping.com or call +44 (0)870 442 9400. Attendance is strictly by invitation only and registration is essential.

StreetMapper 360, which is a joint development between UK based 3D Laser Mapping and German based guidance and navigation specialist IGI, has been specifically designed for the rapid 3D mapping of highways, runways, railways, infrastructure and buildings. Using vehicle-mounted lasers offering a 360-degree field of view StreetMapper enables high precision mapping to a range of 300 metres, a capacity of 300,000 measurements per second per sensor and recorded accuracies in independent real world projects of better than 10 millimetres.

Travelling at speeds of up to 70 kmph StreetMapper can capture every detail along the highway corridor including barriers, gulleys, overhead wires and building facades, helping surveyors to create highly accurate 3D computer models for planning, maintenance and incident management.

The StreetMapper Conference will follow on directly from the first European LiDAR Mapping Forum (ELMF), which takes place from the 30 November to the 01 December 2010 at the World Forum, The Hague, Netherlands. The ELMF is the European event for airborne, bathymetric and terrestrial LiDAR, with a particular focus on mobile mapping systems, a major, two day technical conference focussing on the use of LiDAR to support transport, urban modelling, coastal zone mapping, asset management and GIS applications. ELMF will also feature an associated international exhibition for system and component manufacturers, operators and service companies.
