Discover Surfware's TRUEMill at Westec 2010

CAMARILLO, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — March 18, 2010 — Surfware, Inc., developer of the patented, award-winning TRUEMill technology, will exhibit TRUEMill for SolidWorks, the newest integration of TRUEMill toolpath technology, at Westec 2010 on March 23-25 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.

The TRUEMill Division of Surfware has been organized to make TRUEMill technology available for NC programmers that require high material removal rate toolpaths to work within their CAD/CAM environment. The TRUEMill SolidWorks integration is the first step in making TRUEMill milling technology available in an industry renowned system.

“TRUEMill toolpaths have proven to increase material removal rates in most any material by up to 5X and increase tool life by up to 10X while cutting at a depth of 2X the cutter diameter. This results in decreased cycle times and reduced stress on CNC machines.” says Alan Diehl, CEO of the TRUEMill Division of Surfware. “In today's economy, it's all about increasing your company's productivity, and the patented TRUEMill Milling Technology has once again demonstrated drastic reductions in cycle times as well as leaps in productivity gains in some of the most difficult to machine materials, such as Titanium, Inconel, and Hard Steels. For example, the ability to machine Titanium on a HAAS VF2-SS CNC machine, removing 4 cubic inches of material per minute with a ½ inch diameter endmill, cutting 1 inch deep at 115 inches per minute is Truly Amazing. To drastically reduce cycle times are the tangible results our customers are looking for in today's machining market,” says Diehl. “These spectacular results can be achieved with TRUEMill toolpaths because the toolpath is controlled and programmed with a user defined Tool Engagement Angle which allows you to achieve unsurpassed material removal rates in comparison to any other CAM system on the market today.”

Visitors are encouraged to visit TRUEMill booth No. 2257, where “LIVE” machining demonstrations of TRUEMill toolpaths will be given in cutting both Titanium and P-20 Steel to prove these unbelievable material removal rates on a HAAS VF2-SS CNC machine.

A technical session will also be given at Westec on Wednesday, March 24 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. to further present innovations in the challenges of machining Exotic Materials.
