Blue Ridge Numerics Showcases the Power of MCAD Integration at NDES

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA -- (INTERNET WIRE) -- 20-02-2003 -- Blue Ridge Numerics Inc. announces that its flagship product, CFdesign® v6.0, will be demonstrated in three booths at the upcoming National Design & Engineering Show being held at Chicago's McCormick Place Exhibition Center, March 3-6, 2003. Attendees will be given the opportunity to see CFdesign fluid flow and electronics cooling simulations performed on native CAD assemblies produced by today's leading CAD systems. These demonstrations will take place at the Autodesk booth (5901), the Solid Edge booth (5501) and the SolidWorks Corp. booth (6501).

CFdesign is also integrated with Pro/ENGINEER® and works associatively with native 3D geometry produced in any MCAD system that employs ACIS, Granite, or Parasolid modeling kernels.

"This show provides us with an excellent opportunity to prove to engineers involved in the multifaceted product design process that we have developed next-generation technology and put partnerships in place to enable them to incorporate CFdesign into their product development environments regardless of what CAD system they are using," says Jim Spann, vice president of Marketing for Blue Ridge Numerics. "They can see for themselves the power of our tight MCAD integration and how it can increase product innovation while shrinking project schedules by an average 65% and projects costs by 70%."

CFdesign is currently being put to work in a wide variety of industries including aerospace, automotive, electronics, household products, HVAC systems, industrial flow control and valves, medical, processing (food, chemical and materials), and power generation. The growing list of CFdesign customers includes: Astec Power, BAE Systems, Bioject, Bristol Compressors, BWD Turbines, Cummins Engine, Dart Container, Delta Faucet, Honda, Ingersoll-Rand, Moen, Moog, MTI MicroFuel Cells, Norgren, Northrop Grumman, Siemens, Spalding Sports, Sulzer Carbomedics, Symbol Technologies, and United Air Specialists.
