ESRI Offers a Free ArcGIS 9.3 Seminar for Improving an Entire GIS Workflow

Attendees Will Learn How to Be More Productive with ArcGIS

Redlands, California — August 28, 2008 — Geographic information system (GIS) professionals and managers around the world are encouraged to attend a complimentary ESRI ArcGIS 9.3 Seminar this fall. From September through November, GIS users across industries will be able to get a jump start on what's new in the ArcGIS software suite. Attendees will learn directly from ESRI staff how the latest version of ESRI software improves an organization's entire GIS workflow.

Offered in 42 U.S. cities and many other locations worldwide, this all-day seminar is a convenient and valuable way for users to get together and explore how ArcGIS 9.3 provides a comprehensive system that enhances an organization's operations. Attendees will learn about new tools and added functionality in ArcGIS 9.3 and how to use these advances to support critical business functions. They will also be able to pose questions to ESRI staff and take away tips for being more productive with ArcGIS.

"Our customers face common challenges when dealing with managing assets, sharing information between departments, and making information available outside their organizations, among other things," says Damian Spangrud, senior ArcGIS product manager, ESRI. "This informative and collaborative seminar will show how ArcGIS 9.3 addresses these challenges throughout the product suite. The event is also a great opportunity for our users to interact with ESRI staff and to share their experiences with others in the ArcGIS community."

The topics covered will include more efficient data management and access, the easy creation and sharing of production-quality maps, advanced planning and analysis such as sophisticated modeling tools that help users gather more answers from data, easier dissemination of spatial information, and improved information accuracy and sharing in the field.
