DigitalGlobe Releases CitySphere 2.0 Worldwide Image Coverage

Expanded World City Image Offering Adds Never-Before-Offered Views

LONGMONT, Colo., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Satellite imagery provider DigitalGlobe ( http://www.digitalglobe.com) today released CitySphere 2.0, an enhanced version of its extensive library of on-demand digital satellite imagery of the most populated global cities. CitySphere 2.0 features the addition of dozens of never-before-available views of global cosmopolitan cities such as Dubai, Seoul and Jakarta, plus city images from less developed geographic regions across Africa, South America and Asia. CitySphere 2.0 also includes integrated aerial imagery capabilities for select worldwide cities, such as San Juan and Edinburgh, where demand for surface-detail imagery is especially critical in evaluating economic development and environmental issues.

As the leading global content provider of high-resolution world imagery solutions, DigitalGlobe provides critical business tools for companies needing access to current, consistent and reliable worldwide satellite imagery data to inform workflows and strategic decision making. First launched in July 2005, the CitySphere digital image library provides the geographic data foundation for a wide range of applications including urban planning and development, web portals for consumers, governments and agencies, as well as navigation and mobile mapping that rely on up-to-date, easy-to-use, on-demand precision satellite imagery.

"Market demand for easily accessible, on-demand global imagery is increasing, driven largely by growth from global online portals, consumer navigation applications and imagery's increasing relevance as a business decision tool. DigitalGlobe is responding to this need with an expanded platform of easily integrated digital imagery solutions such as CitySphere 2.0, to ensure businesses rely on DigitalGlobe as the source for their satellite imaging needs," said Jill Smith, chief executive officer of DigitalGlobe.
