To help provide its employees, partners and customers throughout Europe and the Asia Pacific region a better feel for the new corporate location, Stratasys today unveiled a 3D rendering of its headquarters that can be viewed in context to the surrounding city using Google Earth. Stratasys -- which surpassed the $100 million annual revenue milestone at the end of 2006 and leads the nearly $1 billion rapid prototyping and manufacturing industry in terms of units shipped -- is expanding into the new 86,000 square-foot facility to accommodate the company's current and future growth.
"We believe we have only just begun to tap the true potential of our business," Crump said. "Our new headquarters provides us the appropriate amount of space to continue our growth as we further solidify our position as a long term global leader in 3D printing, rapid prototyping and direct digital manufacturing."
Including its new headquarters, Stratasys will continue to operate out of three buildings in Eden Prairie. The new facility, located at 7665 Commerce Way, hosts all of Stratasys' general business functions -- including sales, marketing, product development, and research and development -- with the other two nearby buildings housing the company's RedEye RPM and manufacturing operations. All three buildings provide Stratasys a combined total of 183,610 square feet.
Stratasys Inc., Minneapolis, manufactures office-based rapid prototyping and manufacturing systems and 3D printers and offers rapid prototyping and manufacturing parts services. According to Wohlers Report 2007, Stratasys supplied 41 percent of all systems installed worldwide in 2006, making it the unit market leader, for the fifth consecutive year. Stratasys patented the rapid prototyping process known as fused deposition modeling (FDM).
