Engineous Software Hosts Symposium and Workshops

CARY, N.C.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—March 21, 2007— Engineous Software, provider of award-winning integration, automation and design optimization software and related services announced the conclusion of a highly successful customer event. The 2007 International Symposium and Workshops titled "Innovation by Design" drew international representatives from Global 500 companies, universities, commercial software and hardware vendors, resellers and industry analysts.

The three day event featured 30 presentations, including the following keynote speakers: Chad Jackson, Research Director for the Aberdeen Group, Robert B. Cohen from the Cohen Communications Group, Buddy Raines, CTO of IBM's PLM Group and Distinguished Engineer, Frederique Muyl from PSA Peugeot Citroen and Tim Ambridge, Director of Product Lifecycle Management Business Processes for Bombardier Aerospace.

The event kicked off with a full day of training workshops on topics that included advanced optimization and stochastic methods, CAE integration strategies and a course outlining the advantages of leveraging a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) in the product development process. Event attendees were also able to participate in more than 20 live product demonstrations conducted by Engineous partners and event exhibitors including IBM, MSC Software, Pointwise, Nutech Solutions, Advanced Design Technology, Optimal Solutions, AVL, PRICE Systems, VCollab, Galorath, Simmetrix, TTI, CD-adapco and DEP.
