| Delcam has rationalised the wide range of functionality within its PowerMILL CAM system into four options; the standard PowerMILL for companies with conventional machine tools, PowerMILL Pro, which provides extra strategies for high-speed machining, PowerMILL 3+2 for the programming of positional five-axis machines and PowerMILL 5-axis for continuous five-axis operations.

Engine machining partnership | 
| Delcam has entered into a technology partnership with the Zytek Group, one of the world’s leading specialists in automotive control systems, race engine design and development, powertrain development, and hybrid-electric vehicles, to develop novel machining strategies for motorsport engine manufacture, in particular for the finish machining of inlet and exhaust ports. The partnership follows the impressive results achieved by Zytek since it changed to PowerMILL in 2004.

| In recognition of Delcam China’s strong support for the Chinese aviation industry, the company was presented with an Outstanding Supplier Award at the recent celebrations of the 55th China Aviation Industry Anniversary. The ceremony was one of the highlights of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology & Aviation Industry Forum, which was held from October 28th to November 1st in Zhuhai, China, coincident with the 6th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition.

New blisk machining method | 
| A new method for the production of blisks, developed by Delcam and the 600 Centre, was shown for the first time at the Productivity Partnerships event held at the 600 Centre during November.The blades were machined using the range of five-axis strategies available within PowerMILL on a Fanuc Robodrill T21iE fitted with a 24,000 rpm spindle and a Nikken 130 unit to provide fourth and five axis movements.
