Delcam is pleased to announce its support for the forthcoming Haas high-speed machining promotion, Haas Demo Day 2. The one-day event will be held on June 19, 2002, at Haas Factory Outlets throughout the U.S. and Canada. It will provide an opportunity for manufacturing industry to see the latest advances in high-speed machining equipment, tooling and CAD/CAM software being demonstrated on Haas CNC machines.

Delcam’s contribution will include a demonstration of the machining of the core and cavity of a bottle bottom in NAK 55 steel using the company’s latest HSM techniques. The part program has been generated with Delcam’s PowerMILL CAM software by Jerry Sanders from Delcam’s reseller for the Western USA, Vision Technologies.

In addition to the machining demonstrations, each HFO will present educational seminars detailing the benefits of high-speed machining, as well as illustrating the importance of proper tooling, balanced tools, proper speeds and feeds, and optimised part programs. Haas applications engineers will be on hand to share their insights and answer questions.
