ICEM To Speak At 2006 Japan CATIA Forum Conference.

Southampton, UK. 8 June, 2006. – ICEM Ltd., the leading developer of surface modelling, surface model validation and design visualisation software, will be speaking in the main conference session at the 2006 JCF (Japan CATIA Forum) being held at Le Meridien Grand Pacific Tokyo, Japan on 19 & 20 July, 2006.

ICEM will present its new-generation surface design and modelling software suite, ICEM Shape Design, which has been developed on Dassault Systèmes’ CAA V5 product lifecycle management (PLM) software solutions architecture.

Launched in December 2005, ICEM Shape Design is the first product release following the strategic software development and marketing agreement between ICEM Ltd and Dassault Systèmes announced at the end of March, 2005. The advanced surface modelling facilities of ICEM Shape Design deliver solutions ranging from general surface modelling to the specialised surface design and engineering requirements of specific industry sectors, such as automotive body and interior components, aircraft exterior skins, business jet and luxury yacht interiors, consumer durable goods and complex tyre designs.

Significantly, having been developed on Dassault Systèmes’ CAA V5 software architecture, it integrates seamlessly with the CATIA V5 collaborative product development and manufacturing software suite and with CAA V5-based product lifecycle management (PLM) environments.

ICEM Shape Design is available either as a collaborative installation, where access is granted to all CATIA V5 products that are licensed on a network, or as ‘standalone’ solutions, where no installed CATIA V5 software is required.

In addition to speaking in the main conference sessions, ICEM will also be participating in the 2006 JCF TechniFair, where it will be demonstrating the use of ICEM Shape Design in the design development of automobile body and interior components and other products where aesthetics play an important role.

About the 2006 JCF.
Organised jointly by Dassault Systèmes and IBM PLM Solutions and expected to attract some 3,000 delegates, the 2006 JCF will be the largest software users’ conference this year covering the end-to-end PLM market in Asia.
