Hamilton Sundstrand will supply the electric power generating system and power distribution systems. Together, these systems provide main power generation, primary and secondary power distribution and control of several utility systems aboard the aircraft. These systems will provide Boeing and its U.S. Navy customer the level of increased electric power required for the P-8A MMA mission, as well as a scalable utility management capability to support current and future mission equipment needs.

"We are proud that Boeing has selected Hamilton Sundstrand for these extensive contract awards for their P-8A program," said Tim Morris, president of Hamilton Sundstrand Aerospace Power Systems. "These system wins reflect our ability to provide multiple value-added system solutions to Boeing and to meet the performance and reliability requirements of this advanced mission aircraft."

These systems have a potential program value that may exceed $300 million to Hamilton Sundstrand.
