Irvine, CA – April 13, 2006: MecSoft Corporation, developer of industry leading
manufacturing software, announced today the use of their RhinoCAM product at
Soldier Nanotechnology's Soldier Design Competition 2006 held at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology (MIT). MIT students Kyle Vogt, Jeremy Konrad and Grant
Jordon built a prototype enclosure using Rhino 3D modeling tools and RhinoCAM's
precision machining methods to develop a height and velocity sensor suite capable of
measuring ground distance from a height of up to 500 feet. Their team, The Wave
Master, was placed 3rd overall in the competition and awarded the prestigious
Boeing Award. The team Wave Master has been working with the US Army. They
plan to continue their work with the army on this project and develop a final, mass
producible product sometime in the future.

Institute for Soldier
Nanotechnologies a 28,000-square-foot facility that marshals government, academic
and industrial resources to develop a new generation of equipment the average
soldier will take into combat.
