Throughout the convention, Graphisoft customers will demonstrate projects designed and completed in ArchiCAD(R), from initial concept through to documentation and rendering. Presenters will include:
* Russ Sanders, AIA, Virtual Building Committee coordinator of The
Orcutt/Winslow Partnership, will demonstrate how his firm has
incorporated the Virtual Building(TM) approach into its practice as a
business strategy and competitive advantage;
* Steven Davis, senior preconstruction manager at Mortenson Construction,
will provide a hands-on demonstration of Graphisoft's new Virtual
Construction(TM) Solution;
* Richard Crowe, AIA, principal of Gilchrist Ross Crowe Architects, will
walk booth attendees through his use of ArchiCAD for several marquis
design projects; and,
* Thomas Heinz, AIA, will highlight his work bringing five sketches hand-
drawn by Frank Lloyd Wright to life for the first time using ArchiCAD.
Heinz, a noted author of more than 30 books, many on Frank Lloyd Wright, will also be hosting a book signing on at Booth 4020. Visitors can purchase autographed versions of Heinz's book, "Frank Lloyd Wright" and the author will also be on hand to pen individual signatures.
In addition, representatives from @Last Software, 1stPricing, Trelligence and GeoPraxis, will also present at Graphisoft's booth.
* @Last Software will demonstrate how its flagship software, SketchUp(R),
and ArchiCAD can be applied to enhance design projects;
* 1stPricing is on tap to preview its link to ArchiCAD, which will provide
real-time pricing;
* Trelligence plans to present how its Affinity(TM) software can be used
in conjunction with ArchiCAD to capture and manage project information;
and,
* GeoPraxis will perform whole building energy analysis in ArchiCAD using
its Green Building Studio (GBS) Web service.
Throughout the AIA conference, Graphisoft staff will provide one-on-one demonstrations of ArchiCAD 9 as well as Graphisoft's latest Virtual Construction solutions, an advanced suite of technologies designed to reduce the cost of a construction project by 2 to 3 percent.
