This year Deltek honored clients in two separate categories -- innovation and ROI. BWXT Services Inc. (BWXS), the premier manager of complex, high-consequence nuclear and national security operations, received the Innovation Award. Driesenga & Associates, Inc. (D&A), a full service professional engineering firm providing civil and geotechnical engineering, land surveying, construction materials testing and inspection, and environmental consulting, was honored in the ROI category.
Selected from more than 20 entries, BWXS won top innovation honors by illustrating how the firm integrated its Microsoft Outlook e-mail system with Deltek Vision, a fully Web-based ERP solution specifically geared towards professional services, to allow users to fill out an activity screen in Deltek Vision's CRM database. As a result, BWXS can now capture critical information from its corporate e-mail system without double entry, improving efficiency and reducing the risk of human error.
D&A was selected the winner of the ROI Award by quantifying more than $42,000 in timekeeping, invoicing and time savings since implementing Deltek Advantage, a financial and project management system for professional services firms, less than one year ago. In the award-winning entry, the firm attributed the ROI to improved efficiency and accuracy for both timekeeping and accounting processes, elimination of payroll data entry errors, better budget reporting and a more streamlined invoicing process with faster turnaround.
