PLMIG announces forthcoming PLM Delivery Survey

Oxford, England. July 07, 2015 -- The question of "What do we get when we buy PLM?" has been left unanswered for too long. The PLM industry needs a straightforward, neutral, structure that will show what "Delivering PLM" really means.

The goal is to define an agreed PLM Delivery structure that can be used internationally, in all types of PLM user enterprise. This will inspire confidence in the adoption programme, and fast track the approval process.

In order to understand the range of targets and metrics that should be part of such a structure, the PLMIG will carry out a global Survey into PLM Delivery in the next few weeks.

The final draft of the Survey is with PLMIG Members for consultation, and the Survey should be ready for release by mid-July.

It is important to make clear that this is not a User-only Survey. PLM Delivery involves close collaboration between a range of specialists, and the Survey has been written so that it can be completed by Users of PLM or by Providers of PLM. Views from all parts of the industry are equally valuable.

More information about the PLM Delivery initiative can be found at the PLMIG web site or via Email Contact.
