May 12, 2015 -- OPEN MIND Technologies USA, Inc. will present hyperMILL® 2015.1 at the DMG Mori Innovation Days event in Hoffman Estates IL from May 19-22. hyperMILL® is a high-performance CAM software product well-suited for demanding aerospace, medical, and defense industries.
One of the featured demos at Innovation Days 2015 will be the Puzzle Ball, programmed with hyperMILL, and presented on the DMG Mori NMV 5000 mill-turn machine. “The puzzle ball demonstrates extreme software application of CAM software and tooling. Customers can consider nearly all of their applications to be safely within the CAM software capabilities, relative to the Puzzle Ball. hyperMILL brings together innovative 5-axis techniques, together with strong 2.5D and 3-axis solutions, and mill-turn in a consistent programming environment. All machining levels are important in today’s market that is focused on 5-axis machining, multi-axis machining, and multi-task machining.
Recent enhancements include hyperMAXX® high performance roughing, based on Volumill™ kernel, applied to multi-axis situations, and more efficiency with transition air moves that provide smoother and faster motion. The multi-axis shape-offset roughing module now includes the ability to trim toolpaths automatically to in-process stock, thereby saving manual tool edit procedures that are common with competitive software. High performance roughing can be applied to mould and die, aerospace and energy industries.
Visitors will be able to meet with OPEN MIND staff and view software demonstrations at the show.
