Dec 19, 2014 -- Geometric Ltd., an international leader in the domain of engineering solutions, services and technologies is hosting a seminar to promote excellence in product design and foster a deeper understanding of Design for Excellence approach in new product design.
Design for Excellence or DfX is a powerful approach that ensures that the issues related to the manufacturing, cost, quality and serviceability of the product are addressed right at the design stage and errors are minimized. At the 2015 DfX seminar industry leaders and recognized experts and trainers in the field of materials, design, tooling, processing, simulation will present the best practices of design and manufacturing, foster a deeper understanding of DfX principles and discuss case studies and examples of actual parts highlighting failures due to violations or ignorance of these basic requirements
The presentations
- Help understand the DfX principles and gain valuable insights on multidisciplinary design challenges.
- Provide an update on the industry challenges, latest developments and issues within the manufacturing industry
- Provide an opportunity to engage with key industry leaders, trainer and experts and to network among peers
- This Seminar is open to the general public and available on a first-come-first-served basis.
The seminar will be held at a short walking distance from Cobo Center where North American International Auto Show 2015 is being held from January 17-25, 2015. The seminar is free of charge. However, registration is required.
