Speakers and Topics Announced, Attendance on Track to be Largest GPDIS Summit Ever

SOUTHFIELD, MI, Aug. 14, 2014— Keynote speakers and presentation topics have been officially announced for the sixth annual Global Product Data Interoperability Summit.

The September 8-11 event will feature industry-leading aerospace, automotive, software and IT experts who will address the importance of preserving data quality through the value stream.

The Summit is of interest to anyone in the CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM space—commercial or academic—who would like to participate in discussions about best practices in data management and exchange. Attendance has grown consistently with each annual Summit.

“Early registration for this year’s Summit is the highest we’ve seen,” says conference organizer Ken Tashiro of Elysium. “We see this as a good sign that this year will be the biggest GPDIS ever.”

There is still time to register. Additional registration information for the event, which takes place at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort in Phoenix, AZ, can be found here. Register before August 15 for a reduced registration rate. Registration is open through August 29.

In addition to co-hosts Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Parker Aerospace, and Elysium, presenters and sponsors include Airbus, Dassault Systèmes, Honeywell, Microsoft, HP and many others (see full list below). Keynote speakers include Technical Assurance IT Director Sarah Mayer of Boeing, VP & Chief Information Security Officer Michael Papay of Northrop Grumman, Associate Professor and AerosPACE Director Dr. Steve Gorrell of Brigham Young University, PLM Harmonization Center Senior Manager Dr. Amaury Soubeyran of Airbus Group, and VP of Integrity William Schmiege of Parker Aerospace.

Boeing, Northrop Grumman and Parker Aerospace will conduct closed sessions for the first day; sessions open to registered attendees begin September 9 and run through September 11.
