The verticulator become digital thanks to EGS technology
Bologna, January 21, 2013 - EGS technology targeted at the dental industry continues to progress and confirm its own leadership as OEM partner.
a.gree, Vertysystem developing company, has decided to avail itself of EGS technology and knowhow and ask for a customized solution capable of working with the digital model of a verticulator. The collaboration will see its main roles played by Dental Suite, a complete solution for dental technicians and labs, and the verticulator Vertys.
One of the main problems that is possible to meet in the realization of dental prosthesis is the correct registration and regulation of the jaw relation. EGS, together with Vertysystem technology, has implemented a new, customized system that guarantees a more reliable and complete manufacturing.
EGS Dental Suite is a complete, user-friendly suite of applications designed for the OEM market, including a 3D scanner and a CAD software with step-by-step interface, guiding the user along the entire Start-to-Finish process, from the acquisition through the DScan 3D scanner to the CAD modeling with DentalCAD, up to the milling definition strategies.
Thanks to the new implementation of Dental Suite, the model mounted on the verticulator is directly scanned by DScan, then modelled with DentalCAD, ensuring more precision of registration and regulation, and giving more possibilities to check the own work.
Vertys is an instrument that working on three axis. It is made up of an anodized aluminum base, protruding from which are three rods in a special stainless steel. Mounted in the plexiglass lid, there are three sintered sleeves which are bored to match the three rods, leading to a high level of precision and a free, ‘controlled’, sliding action of the instrument.
Vertys is a tool that added value to the modern dental technician's work.
This tool facilitates planning of the case, recording of data, and transportation of all necessary information, starting with the wax-up, including vertical dimension, tooth position, esthetic concept, and shape.
These properties are very important when it comes to stamping either ceramic, or the paste composites. An instrument that is indispensible when it comes to the making of a mask of the wax-up, to check for the clearances, for making the frameworks, or for reproducing the occlusal surface.
